***Therapy is an investment. I can tell you that I personally have worked with clients who have been in therapy for years and doing EMDR with them has been so rewarding to see such progress in a shorter amount of time vs “traditional talk” therapy. I am invested in your progress vs keeping you in therapy longer than needed.
Sessions
All sessions are currently being held via video. I use the program SimplePractice which is secure and HIPAA compliant.
If you do become a client, I will also set you up with your own online portal that will allow you to securely message me when needed. All paperwork can be completed electronically.
Before getting into processing memories with EMDR, there will be a thorough assessment including some standard questionnaires as needed based on your situation, this can take several sessions. There also will be some sessions to work on skill-building and resources to ensure safety for the processing portion. The amount of preparation sessions differs from situation to situation. The same can be said about the processing sessions as well. Please don’t compare your treatment plan to anything you read online or seen on a celebrity’s TikTok. I have heard many times “I must really be messed up because so and so only needed 4 sessions.” It really depends on many factors. Chances are the “4 sessions” were just the processing sessions and likely around only 1 or 2 events.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
